The bold and curvaceous brand mark was specifically designed to embody female empowerment, the letter ‘R’ is inspired by the iconic image from J. Howard Miller’s WW2 ‘We Can Do It’ campaign poster; a strong female production worker with her sleeves rolled up.

The simple clean packaging represents the natural and ethical ingredients that differentiate the fragrances. The ‘R’, the visual shorthand for Recreation, dominates the packaging as the brand’s hallmark of confidence. The infill of the mark, a subtle pink, blue and yellow graduation, echoes the twilight beach skies of Bondi.

In navigating the start-up landscape, budget considerations are paramount. Our client opted to allocate resources towards a custom-designed bottle for their flagship product while utilizing off-the-shelf options for subsequent product lines— an astute decision that yielded exceptional results.

We worked with Vert Industrial Design House for the bottle design. We explored the intrinsic beauty of basic geometry with a twist, a softened hexagon. We wanted the bottle to have a simple beauty, nothing over-engineered. For it to nestle in the hand but have some weight. The subtle vertical chime lines give the bottle a soft rhythm and the illusion that it is a much rounder shape while affording it a clever twist of faceted sides. This coupled with a clear heavy base is a perfect balance of femininity + strength. The debossed aluminium cap sits flush against the bottle’s shoulder, assisting with optimising the overall proportions. The base is also debossed with the ‘R’ as a point of unexpected discovery for the consumer.

Our branding has been seamlessly integrated across various structural formats and substrates, meticulously tailored to suit each application, and manufacturing process, ensuring consistency and quality throughout.
