Labels can communicate a lot about the wine within, and our design for Pie in the Sky tells you that it’s full of fun and personality.
Some people choose a wine based on a knowledge of growers and grapes, but if you’re anything like us, the label does a lot of the talking.
We seized the opportunity to create a label design with huge shelf shout and cut-through for this range of wines made exclusively for the US market. With more than 900 million gallons of wine consumed each year in the US, this brand needed a big personality that would get it noticed. We worked with New Zealand artist Gerad Taylor to create hyperreal illustrations, the wines’ fruit flavours captured perfectly by the juicy pie illustrations, while the mountains in the background are a nod to their regions. Coupled with the playful typography, the labels give this brand a unique and quirky style with a bold and confident personality and serious shelf appeal.
